Hirsig squaring off with River Plate.The KC Star checked in today with a nice article on the signing of Santiago Hirsig and the USA's 2-0 win over arch-rivals Mexico. ESPN Soccernet also said some good things on Hirsig, and tons on the USA win.
What was your favorite part of last night's win? Was it the site of the red-clad Sam's Army (which Wizards staffer Sam Pierron was a part of, though I don't think it was named after him) going nuts all night? Was it the reaction for the players after Bradley's first goal, or was it the satisfying feeling of knowing Mexico hasn't won on U.S. soil in 9 years? Let us know below.
The players touched down in Kansas City last night and will train tomorrow at 11 a.m. at our Swope Park Training Center. Come on out. Hillcrest will be there tomorrow with a camera for some new practice photos.
