IRL drivers Dan Wheldon (2005 Indy 500 champion and champion at Kansas Speedway in 2007 and 2008) and Mario Moraes (20-year-old from Brazil) will join us at CommunityAmerica Ballpark for our next home match on Thursday, April 23 at 7 p.m. CT. Wheldon and Moraes will be in the stadium with their cars, signing autographs from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Both are soccer fans, growing up in the football-mad countries of England and Brazil.
NASCAR Truck drivers Johnny Sauter and local Jennifer Jo Cobb will also be at the match, stationed throughout the concourse at CAB. They too will sign autographs for fans between 5:30 p.m. at 6:45. The match will be broadcast live on ESPN2, and a B2 Bomber from Whiteman Air Force Base will fly over the stadium prior to the game. As you may already know, the first 5,000 fans through the door that night will receive a Jimmy Conrad bobble head, and everyone will receive thundersticks. Both of these giveaways come courtesy of our friends at Time Warner Cable. To get your tickets, give us a call at (913) 387-3400 or click here.
