 ESPN World Cup Coverage

Just a few hours after The Sporting Blog (blog on the Sporting News' website) called out ESPN for not sending announcers to the Confed Cup, ESPN responded (well, probably more like announced on their own without regard for being called out) by laying out some details for next summer's coverage of the World Cup. The names Chris Fowler, Bob Ley and Mike Tirico excite me. Hopefully they excite you too.

There are a slew of other Confed Cup related articles out there today, including this one from Greg Seltzer ranking the players. This one about Charlie Davies and the clubs chasing after him. And this less-related one about Edgar Castillo (left mid, left back) being willing to play for the USA after appearing for Mexico at the U-23 level. That would be an interesting change of heart for the New Mexico-born player, wouldn't it?

We're now in Minneapolis for tomorrow's U.S. Open Cup match against the Minnesota Thunder. You'll be able to watch the game live at USLlive.com or by following along with the running commentary here at Hillcrest Road. Better yet, set up two computers and follow both!
