
We will host a 2010 FIFA World Cup Final Draw watch party Friday at the Sports Radio 810 Zone on the Country Club Plaza from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. CT. The first 100 fans will be granted FREE access to an appetizer buffet, and all fans in attendance will have the opportunity to win some sweet door prizes. Wizards players will also be in attendance, and drink specials will be offered by the 810 Zone.
During the Final Draw, one team from each of four “pots” will be selected Friday to make up eight four-team groups for next summer’s FIFA World Cup™. The Draw will be broadcast live on ESPN 2 and Univision. The pots are as follows:
Pot 1: South Africa (host), Brazil, Spain, Netherlands, Italy (defending champion), Germany, Argentina and England
Pot 2: USA, Australia, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, New Zealand, Honduras and Mexico
Pot 3: Algeria, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay
Pot 4: Denmark, France, Greece, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland
Door prizes, including an Xbox 360, Kansas City Wizards gear, FIFA 2010 video games and Official 2010 FIFA World Cup™ Game Balls will be distributed via raffle. The fan in attendance deemed to be the most patriotic will receive one of the Official Game Balls. The Official Game Balls will be unveiled for the first time Friday during the World Cup Draw watch party, making raffle winners some of the first people worldwide to receive the prestigious soccer ball.
