What A Week...

Following a light training session this morning at the team's Swope Park Training Center, Sporting Kansas City takes off for Chi-town today to take on the Fire tomorrow at 3 p.m. CT, live locally on KSMO-TV and nationally on TeleFutura. Remember last time Teal Bunbury was on TeleFutura? Might the SKC striker be in the starting line-up on Saturday at Toyota Park?

If he is, he'll have more than 300 Sporting Kansas City supporters there to welcome him back. LIVESTRONG will be hoping the SKC supporters have plenty to cheer about, after Sporting Club CEO Robb Heineman pledged $500 for every goal ANY TEAM IN MLS scores against Chicago in MLS play this season, starting with Sporting Kansas City on Saturday.

• Sporting KC defender Shavar Thomas will captain Jamaica as they take on Venezuela at 8 p.m. CT tonight in Montego Bay. Though it's just a friendly, both sides say its a crucial match and want to win.
• Jamaica will be back in action on Sunday against El Salvador, while Sporting Kansas City striker Kei Kamara and Sierra Leone will play an African Cup of Nations qualifier at Niger on Sunday. Kei's arrival was welcome news in Sierra Leone, which has several options for their starting line-up.
