Kilmeade juggling with USWNT's Angela Hucles and Heather O'Reilly
For those who watched Off the Pitch with Sporting Kansas City on KSMO-TV on Sunday, you already know they'll be a new face in the broadcast booth for Saturday's match in New York. That mystery man is FOX News personality Brian Kilmeade who co-hosts Fox & Friends every weekday among his roles for the network on both TV and radio.
Brian is a former college player and current youth coach, and was a former sideline reporter for the NY/NJ MetroStars and co-hosted Soccer Zone on MSG. He will be alongside Callum Williams with the call on KSMO-TV at 6:30 p.m. CT, live from Red Bull Arena.
Watch the video below to hear from Brian at a NSCAA coaching course in 2009...

Couldn't find anyone else, huh?
With all the sports announcers and sports announcer "want to be"s out there why get someone with baggage (rightly or wrongly). I won't want Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann or Michelle Malkin either.
Dennis Miller, Rush Limbaugh, Jason Whitlock...just didn't' seem to work out that well with them. Seems like an unnecessary distraction.
Callum Williams is a good choice - and someone SKC can build on. He began well and is getting better each game. He could be a Kevin Harlan of soccer, maybe even an Ian Darke. Give him a former professional player to pair with.
Ron, you're absolutely right!
I love Callum's calls. Will there be a way to mute the color commentary?
Give the guy a chance. He seems to sort of know what he is talking about. Lets just hope he actually follows MLS.
Ron, there are probably a couple of reasons Mr. Kilmeade was chosen for this game. 1) He's based in NYC 2) He seems to know soccer.
As I posted on Fountain City Soccer, this is a one-time deal. The team has a week off next week, so they have 2 weeks to make a longer-term choice.
And I would doubt he'd be talking politics as that would make me want to mute it, or turn it off.
